About additional examinations
Additional examinations (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, laboratory tests, etc.) should be prescribed only by the attending physician based on the clinical data obtained during a face-to-face consultation.
There is no need to do any additional research on your own, without the consent of your doctor, because... You can do them incorrectly and these studies will turn out to be unnecessary or they will have to be redone. And in the case of x-ray examination, this may be associated with receiving an additional dose of radiation.
As a result of additional studies, you will receive theirResults(x-ray, tomogram, laboratory data, etc.), as well asConclusionon these results of the diagnostician (description and conclusions). Without in any way detracting from the significance of the Conclusion, it is first of all important for the attending physician to familiarize himself with the Results (images, etc.). A description of diagnostic images is not enough! Descriptions of pictures do not replace the pictures themselves!
Please note! If the conclusion of the description of your x-ray or tomogram contains the term “Arthrosis”, but does not indicate its degree, then such a conclusion is incomplete!
Additional examinations prescribed to you by your doctor or done by you yourself (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, laboratory tests, etc.) do not in themselves determine the diagnosis of your disease.
Conclusions from additional examinations do not constitute a diagnosis of your disease. And in the conclusions of self-respecting medical institutions, handed out to patients, this is written directly about this. Therefore, it is impossible to prescribe treatment based solely on the data of such examinations!
The diagnosis of your disease is made by your attending physician based on data from your own clinical studies in combination with data from additional studies. And on this basis he prescribes appropriate treatment for you.
If the medical professional who conducted additional examinations gives you advice on how you should or should not be treated, then remember that a diagnostic doctor does not have a complete picture of your disease. Moreover, he does not engage in practical medical activities at all.
Therefore, in order not to harm your health, do not use random recommendations!
