Gout - this is a disease of the whole body caused by a violation of protein metabolism in the body. The joints are most often affected by gout. Therefore, treatment of this disease requires both local measures (treatment of individual joints) and correction of metabolism.
One of the most important components of metabolism correction is diet. It is aimed at limiting the consumption of foods that contribute to the production of uric acid in the body.
As a rule, it is prescribed:
diet (treatment table according to Pevzner) No. 6
4 meals a day. Chemical composition:
- 70 g of proteins (of which 50% are of animal origin, mainly dairy)
- 80 of fats (of which 70% are of animal origin)
- 350-400 g of carbohydrates
- 8-10 g of salt
- 1.5-2 l. free liquid
energy value – 2400-2600 kcal.
The exclusion of those foods that are rich in purines and oxalic acid is provided. Salt is limited moderately. At the same time, care must be taken to enrich the menu with alkalizing foods (fruits, vegetables, milk). If there are no contraindications from the cardiovascular system, you should slightly increase fluid intake (including on an empty stomach and between main meals).
